Day #25 Eating Consciously: Slipped & Getting Back Into The Saddle
Yes, you read correctly-- I have made more than a few slip-ups. I continue to believe that I am making "conscious" choices about what I eat, but the fact is that I am not as "conscientious" as when I started out in my desire to ban wheat, dairy and processed sugar from my life for a mere 30 days.
Last night's happy gathering with a group of folks I am putting on a Depression Recovery Seminar with is a case in point. I have slipping in minor ways throughout the week, actually eating Clif Bars that we originally bought to send to our son who lives in the far North (where he is a teacher). Last night I ate a large piece of delicious home-made bread (wheat, and probably sugar) and an ice cream cone with soy 'ice cream' in it (lotsa sugar). I feel a little congested this morning and ready to get back on track!
